Rates

  • All four tents have an amazing view.

  • Tent 1 and 2 are closest to the Pavilion and Kennicott River Road with access being a flight of stairs down a small bluff.

  • Tent 3 and 4 are the furthest from the Pavilion with access down sloping gravel walking path.

  • All tents are a short walk from the well-maintained outhouses.

Tent 1 - Dryas Camp / Sleeps two, $175 per night.

Tent 2 - Spruce Camp / Sleeps three, $195 per night.

Tent 3 - River Camp / Sleeps two, $175 per night.

Tent 4 - Sparrow Camp / Sleeps two, $175 per night.

  • Need another bed? A Camp Cot with a 2” memory foam mattress and luxury bedding may be available for Tents 1, 3, and 4. Please feel free to inquire. $100 per stay.

  • Exclusive, Private Stay: All four tents and up to 9 guests, $700 per night.

  • Being a small business with a tiny crew, there is a set check-in window for Camp. Upon arrival, to help ensure an amazing stay, guests receive a brief tour and shown some How Tos (i.e., solar and water use, food storage, etc.).

    • Check-in window: 3pm - 6pm. There is a late check-in fee of $50 for guests arriving between 6 -7pm. Sorry, there are no check-ins after 7pm. If you are arriving after 6pm, be sure to let us know so we can arrange to be available outside regular check-in hours. Thank you for understanding!

    • Arriving before 3pm? Feel free to inquire if an early check-in is possible!

    • Check out: 11am

  • Two-night minimum (over July 4th weekend, three-night minimum).

  • Ages 10 +
    Because canvas tents have thin walls, to ensure a peaceful, quiet stay for all guests, there is a minimum age limit of 10 years. Younger children (ages 6+) are welcome at Camp with an Exclusive Stay.

No Pets (although we love them!)

To check availability, please fill out the form below. Once we receive your request, we will get back to you within a few hours (or within 24), to let you know if your dates are available.

To make a reservation and confirm a stay:

  • Full payment is due at the time of booking.

  • Reservations are not guaranteed without payment.

  • We gladly accept payment by electronic transfers and credit cards. There is a 3% credit card transaction fee for credit card payments.

  • By making and confirming a stay, guests accept all Camp Rules and Liability.

Liability

Camp McCarthy is located in a wilderness environment. By making and confirming a reservation, guests are accepting full responsibility for any injury, personal property damage or loss, or inconvenience caused by the natural surroundings, wildlife, or weather.

Cancellation Policy

With our intimate size, short season, and remote location, cancellations significantly affect us. Because of this, we adhere to the following cancellation policy:

  • 90+ days: $50 cancellation fee

  • Between 90 and 60 days: 50% refund

  • 60 days or less: 100% penalty applies

  • We recommend purchasing travel insurance.
